Riverview Martial Arts is a traditional Korean Karate school that offers a variety of programs for all ages and abilities.

RMA trains students in the art of Tang Soo Do, an early Korean fighting art that originated more than 2000 years ago.

The art was taught within families and passed down from one individual to another over generations. Known for its kicking artistry, Tang Soo Do, has been refined and developed through the years into the form taught today. It is a striking style of martial arts that utilizes hand strikes, kicks, and blocks to defend an opponent. In addition to the physical element of the practice, training also focuses heavily on building character in students and demonstrating respect for each other.

Training is divided into the practice of basic techniques through forms (hyung), one step sparring (il soo sik), and self-defense (ho sin sol). Advanced training in sparring and weapons is also available.

Families are encouraged to train with each other in a friendly environment as a way to spend time learning and leading a healthy lifestyle together. Values such as self discipline, etiquette, respect, and patience are emphasized in our traditional training atmosphere. Students learn goal setting skills, and develop their drive and determination, through our Tang Soo Do belt ranking and testing system.

Riverview Martial Arts also offers classes in Muay Thai and Combat Hapkido. Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing, is a close combat, hard striking form of Martial Arts that teaches you to use shins, elbows, hands, and knees against opponents. Training focuses on pushing each individual to higher mental and physical heights while training in a positive and supportive environment. Combat Hapkido training is a complete fighting style that is utilized for self-defense.
